WHAT I DO


I'm Hilary Williams ,executive coach, systems thinker, and someone who has spent twenty years navigating complex organisations from the inside.


I work with mid-to-senior leaders who are still performing but running on empty. People at transition points. People who've lost their own voice inside their organisation. People who are high-functioning and quietly falling apart.


My job is not to tell you what to do. It's to ask the questions you haven't been able to ask yourself, and to create the conditions in which you can actually hear your own answers.  


My role is to help you understand what has been shaping your experience, your beliefs, assumptions, expectations and patterns, so that you can make conscious choices about what comes next.


The leaders I work with often leave coaching with greater clarity, stronger boundaries, more confidence in their decisions and, perhaps most importantly, a renewed sense of ownership over their lives and leadership.


I offer 1:1 coaching programmes, standalone Strategy Sessions, and, coming soon, group coaching and workshops for leaders navigating burnout, transition, and the points where systems and values pull in opposite directions.

A NOTE ON HOW I WORK

I work within the ICF Code of Ethics and core competencies. I hold ICF ACC credentials and a Transformational Coaching Diploma from Animas. My approach is grounded in trust, integrity, and a genuine belief that most people already know their own answers—they just need the right conditions to hear them.


This is not performance coaching. It is not about optimising outputs or building better habits. It is about helping you locate yourself accurately, so that what you do next comes from somewhere real.

Yes.


In fact, many of the people I work with wouldn't describe themselves as burnt out.

They're still performing, delivering and functioning. From the outside, everything looks fine.

What brings them to coaching is often a growing sense that something isn't quite right. They feel disconnected from what they want, exhausted in a way that rest doesn't fix, or aware that the way they're currently living and leading isn't sustainable.

You don't need to wait until you're in crisis.  


That's often where the work begins.


Many clients arrive saying things like:

"I don't know what's wrong."

"Everything's fine, but I don't feel fine."

"I feel stuck, but I can't explain why."


You don't need a diagnosis or a perfectly formed goal. Coaching can help you understand what's been shaping your experience and create clarity around what comes next.

My role isn't to tell you what to do.

My role is to help you understand yourself, your situation and your options more clearly, so that the decisions you make are genuinely your own.

The answers need to fit your life, your values and your circumstances, not mine.


Not necessarily.


Many people arrive worried that if they start paying attention to what they really want, they'll end up needing to quit their job, leave their relationship or completely reinvent their life.


That is rarely what happens.


More often, coaching helps people make smaller, more intentional choices that create meaningful change over time.


The goal is not to blow up your life.

The goal is to understand it more clearly.


I work with the belief that most challenges don't exist in isolation.


The way we experience work, leadership and life is shaped by multiple systems interacting with one another.


That's why my coaching explores three interconnected worlds:

• The world you work in
• The world you live in
• The world inside your head


Together, we explore the beliefs, expectations, identities and patterns that may be shaping your experience, so that change is rooted in understanding rather than quick fixes.

I have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent leaders, including those navigating the impact of masking, adaptation, identity and sustained high performance.


My approach is not about fixing difference.


It's about understanding how your experience is being shaped and finding ways to lead and live sustainably.


 

This varies.


Some people come for a focused piece of work around a specific challenge or transition.


Others choose a longer-term coaching relationship to support deeper reflection, growth and change.


We can discuss what feels right for you during an initial conversation.


 

The exploration call is an opportunity for us to explore where you are, what is bringing you to coaching and whether 


There's no pressure and no obligation.


If coaching isn't the right next step, I'll say so, and if I can point you towards something more useful, I will.

Many of the people I work with are highly capable leaders who spend much of their time supporting, guiding and carrying responsibility for others.
